Help when I need it most...
I recently had surgery on my foot and have needed to be on crutches and out of work. My husband works evenings, and so I was not looking forward to the logistics of caring for our three toddlers for the evenings of the first week or two after surgery. The day before the operation, my colleagues at the Diocese of Saint Cloud gathered in my office and sang a blessing to me, presented me with tender gifts, and offered to help in any ways needed. They knew that I was nervous about lining up help because we're pretty new to the community and have no local family here. For the two weeks after surgery, each night, either a colleague or friends from CM TEC took a shift in coming to my house at dinnertime and helping feed/bathe/read to my kids before helping tuck everyone in. Some brought meals, others insisted on taking the cleanup duties. And each day, at least one of our employees sent me an email letting me know that I was in being prayed for. Talk about kind people! I sincerely look forward to going back to work with them.
