Many Hands Make a Successful Event!
Each year, the sixth grade religion students and their parents are responsible for putting on the Family Fun Night at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Opole Mn. We are a small parish, but the Family Fun Night (aka “Turkey Party”) is always a big hit with bingo for the prize of a turkey, kid games, food, and community fun. It is our main fundraiser to be able to provide free religion books/materials/classes to our students of all ages. I was fortunate to be on the committee this year with a WONDERFUL group of 13 kids and their parents. Sometimes in a group event like this, there will be one or two people that do “all the work”. It was such a pleasure to work with this group because everyone did their part and gave 110%. There are countless hours and amounts of energy that goes into an event like this, and the party went so smoothly this year. It was great to see the teamwork and the responsibility from both the kids and the adults. It was successful because each person did their part. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to making it a great event for our church and our community!
