Thinking of you

Last year, my son's favorite helper in his pre-school classroom at St. Francis was Ms. D. This year, he has two equally wonderful helpers.

This morning, though, as I walked through the hallways of school, Ms. D came out of a classroom with a book in her hand. "I found this at a dollar store," she said. "I thought maybe you could give it to Matthew for Christmas." It was a book for practicing to learn to write - and it was a SPIDERMAN one - Matthew's favorite.

I speak often for work about how a dollar can make a difference. I floated and grinned out of Matt's school today really knowing how.
